For this project I was given the task to redesign an old drop cap and make it fun fresh and new. My letters were M and R.

For my R, I found this fun typeface called Gaiety Girl that was created for an all women comedy theatre show from the 1890's. I incorporated parts of their costume in my redesign. 

For my M, I decided to take the M from Caslon 471, and incorporate it with the new Caslon M.
